Kia Ora-bred filly Straight Sets continued an impressive start to her spring three-year-old campaign with a dominant victory at Muswellbrook on Sunday, making it back-to-back wins for the progressive daughter of Prague.
Trained by Annabel and Rob Archibald and once again partnering with Reece Jones, the $375,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale graduate showed her class in Race 2 over the 1000m sprint. She took everything in her stride and quickened stylishly in the straight to score by well over a length to record a win that reinforced the promise she displayed when breaking her maiden at Newcastle last month.

Out of the multiple Group winner Sabatini, Straight Sets was bred and sold by Kia Ora Stud, who also share in the ownership group. Her dam has already produced the stakes-placed Fire Star, and with Straight Sets now unbeaten from two starts this prep, the pedigree continues to deliver.
A daughter of dual Group-winning 2YO Prague, Straight Sets’ latest win adds further momentum for her young sire, who stands this season at Kia Ora Stallions for $11,000 inc GST.
