Exciting prospect Innervisions (I Am Invincible) set the tone for his co-owners Kia Ora on Tuesday morning. The $700,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale graduate was a sensational 4.9l winner from Pocketing (Grunt {NZ}), who did the best of the rest, running into second.
Placed in the Listed Blue Diamond Preview (Colts and Geldings), Innervisions is from the Listed winner Modern Wonder (Snitzel), who is a full sister to the Champion 2-Year-Old Filly Away Game.
Innervisions was purchased by TFI, Annabel Neasham Racing, and Dermot Farrington Bloodstock from the draft of Kia Ora Stud, who stayed in the ownership of the colt.
Following Innervisions was the Kia Ora-raced 3-year-old colt Fire Star (Deep Field) in Heat 9. Later on, in Heat 14, the operation celebrated another success with a 2-year-old, Davikar (Deep Field).
The unraced 2-year-old, with Tyler Schiller in the saddle, showed plenty of grit despite her inexperience. She took a run up the rail and got her head in front of Hallett (Deep Field), while Gangsta Granny (Written Tycoon) was 1.02l away.
Finishing fourth was Autumn Glow (The Autumn Sun). The unraced filly is a half-sister to the G1 Golden Rose S. victor In The Congo and was a $1.8 million purchase by Arrowfield Pastoral and Hermitage Thoroughbreds from the draft of Silverdale Farm at the 2023 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling.
Davikar is the first foal from the So You Think (NZ) mare Think Bleue, a winner of the G3 Alexandra S. She has a filly by Farnan and was served by Home Affairs in the spring.
